Exact Workforce also referred to as ‘The company’ in this context is a recruitment agency located in greater London. The company’s registered head office address is 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX.

Exact Workforce considers that modern slavery encompasses:

 

  1. Human trafficking;

  2. Forced work, through mental or physical threat;

  3. Being owned or controlled by an employer through mental or physical abuse or the threat of abuse;

  4. Being dehumanised, treated as a commodity or being bought or sold as property;

  5. Being physically constrained or to have restriction placed on freedom of movement.

The purpose of this policy is to outline our commitment to combating modern slavery, detail the measures we have in place, and describe how we ensure that slavery and human trafficking do not occur within our business or supply chains.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees, directors, officers, and agents of Exact Workforce, as well as our suppliers, contractors, and business partners.

Our Commitment

  1. Ethical Recruitment: We are dedicated to ethical recruitment practices. We ensure that all our recruitment processes are transparent, fair, and comply with legal requirements. We verify that all candidates we recruit are employed freely and voluntarily.

  2. Supplier Due Diligence: We conduct rigorous checks on our suppliers and partners to ensure they adhere to our standards regarding modern slavery. This includes:

    • Conducting risk assessments of our supply chains.

    • Requiring suppliers to complete a Modern Slavery Questionnaire.

    • Including clauses in supplier contracts that require compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

  3. Training and Awareness: We provide training to our staff to recognize and address issues related to modern slavery. This includes:

    • Induction training for new employees.

    • Ongoing training programs for existing employees.

    • Providing access to resources and information on modern slavery and human trafficking.

  4. Reporting and Whistleblowing: We encourage all employees, suppliers, and clients to report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery. We have established a confidential whistleblowing procedure that allows for anonymous reporting. Reports will be taken seriously, investigated, and appropriate action will be taken.

  • Recruitment Practices: All job advertisements will clearly state the nature of the work and the terms of employment. We ensure that all candidates have the right to work in the UK and are employed directly by Exact Workforce without any form of coercion.

  • Supply Chain Management: We will engage only with suppliers who share our commitment to tackling modern slavery. This involves:

    • Regularly reviewing and updating our supplier code of conduct.

    • Conducting audits and inspections of high-risk suppliers.

    • Terminating contracts with suppliers who fail to comply with our anti-slavery policies.

  • Employee Responsibility: All employees are expected to:

    • Comply with the Modern Slavery Policy.

    • Report any concerns regarding modern slavery.

    • Participate in training and awareness programs.

Monitoring and Review

This policy will be reviewed annually by the company director and compliance manager to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with current legislation and best practices. Any changes will be communicated to all employees and stakeholders.
